2022 Infiniti QX80 Redesign, Specs, Price, & Photos. One of the most larger SUVs on the market, the Infiniti QX80, will receive some improvements for 2022. Reportedly, the upcoming 2022 Infiniti QX80 will introduce more modern styling and, best of all, a much more comfortable cabin.

However, like many SUVs this year, the QX80 will be just another carryover model. That means it will keep the same shape and dimensions, with a minimal exterior facelift. Generally, there is no need for such a big move because this SUV still looks incredibly handsome. On top of that, the QX80 comes with the most high-quality cabin that we saw so far in the segment.

2022 Infiniti QX80 Powertrain Specs

Under the hood of the 2022 Infiniti QX80 is the single powertrain. Like before, the QX80 is available with a very potent engine that includes a 5.6-liter V8 mill generating an impressive output of 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

Moreover, like no so many SUVs in the class, the QX80 uses the RWD system standardly, while AWD optionally. It also features a new 7-speed automatic transmission, and it can tow up to 8,500 pounds maximally. The fuel economy rating will most likely remain as well, and the model that uses the RWD system provides 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway/16 mpg combined. However, the AWD model fuel economy drops to 13 mpg city/19 mpg highway/15 mpg combined.

2022 Infiniti QX80 Redesign

Of all, don’t expect the new 2022 Infiniti QX80 with a different design language. In fact, the upcoming SUV will mostly look the same as its predecessor. The last model was completed redesigned in 2018, and until now, it gains some small refreshments. As we stated, the QX80 is one of the giant SUVs at nearly 209 inches.

Generally, its proportions are good, and it really stands out from the crowd. The front fascia is slightly revised for 2022, and that includes a more stylish grille and headlights. Also, the QX80 can be equipped with giant 22-inch wheels on the two top trims. Basically, they do not look so immense on this SUV because of its proportions. On the other hand, we can also expect the Monograph version soon after the release of the standard one. Powerfully sculptural and technically better, the QX80 Monograph comes with a much wider double-arch grille, featuring many details that are maxed out.

Interior Comfort and Amenities

The interior of the new 2022 Infiniti QX80 is very comfortable. Like its predecessor, it offers the same three rows seating layout. Likewise, the new Infiniti QX80 features much more amenities than any model in the same class. It provides an InTouch touchscreen infotainment system that is easy to use, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 12-volt outlets, four USB ports.

On top of that, the QX80 also includes the rear-seat entertainment system, consisting of two 8.0-inch screens fitted on the front-seat headrests. The current model is rated with four stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The standard package includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and much more.

Release Date and Price

The release of the new 2022 Infiniti QX80 will most likely happen in the first quarter of the next year. However, unlike many SUVs in the same segment, the QX80 is not cheap at all.

The most affordable model starts at $69,050. Yet, if you want more luxury, Infiniti QX80 Sensory version can easily touch the $90,000 mark. Interestingly, the QX80 undercuts models like Mercedes-Benz GLS, Range Rover Sport, Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, and Lexus LX 570.
