2022 Hyundai Tucson Release Date, Price, Hybrid, & Specs. The all-new 2022 Hyundai Tucson will introduce various changes. The Tucson crossover manages very good sales in the last couple of years. That could improve in the future, thanks to the latest upgrades. New Tucson will arrive with a futuristic design and it will offer a very stylish interior. Moreover, a hybrid powertrain is optional and it is the highlight of the 2022 Tucson.

Hyundai sells this crossover all over the globe, but the most important market is still North America. Fortunately, Tucson is available in the United States. The arriving model will get a couple of tweaks under the skin and overall, we think this is a very impressive crossover. The sales will begin later in 2023 and the price will be higher than before.

Under the hood, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 190 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque remains a standard engine option. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and direct-injection system. However, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is the highlight. The hybrid variant combines a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine with electric motors that are not specified. On the other hand, Tucson Hybrid will produce 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

That is an amazing improvement in terms of power. We don’t know which gearbox will be in the offer, but many reports are predicting a six-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid version will become available too and it will use the same turbo-four engine. Driving range and battery specs are still not available.

According to the latest reports, the new 2022 Hyundai Tucson will look no way near its predecessor. The exterior redesign is about to happen and we can’t wait to see this model on the roads. The “kinetic jewel surface details” and “parametric dynamics” is how Hyundai calls the latest cosmetic upgrades. Whatever that means, the front grille will get a very odd triangular texture. It is strange but we think it looks beautiful.

A similar grille can be found on the new Sonata and Elantra models. However, Tucson will get headlights that are integrated into the grille opening. The side profile will get sharper lines, bulging fenders, and a flat-roof design. As for the rear section, Tucson will wear a new full-width LED bar and quad taillights. We are waiting to hear more about new wheels and new exterior paints.

The interior of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will gain a slightly less aggressive look. Of course, this crossover will continue to offer a very modern interior with plenty of high-tech amenities. Hyundai will provide a tiller-shaped steering wheel with more controls on it.

The dashboard looks flat and it sits atop the lower dash. Thanks to that, the front part of the cabin looks stylish and open. By 2022, Tucson will get a more modern digital instrument cluster and a dual-screen infotainment system. That means Tucson now comes with a 10.3-inch and 8.0-inch displays.

The sales of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will begin in the second half of 2023. Tucson crossover will cost $24,000. We are talking about the gasoline-powered base trim level. And while the range-topping trim starts at $33,000, Tucson Hybrid will cost around $30,000.
