2022 Chevy Cruze Specs, Price, & Pictures. 2022 Chevy Cruze Recently Chevrolet introduced the four-door compact Cruze as the most logical transportation solution for all Millennials looking to go from their parents’ basements (sorry, “roommate” basements) to the corner and rear shops.

When the last Chevrolet Cruze rolled out at General Motors’ assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio, just two weeks after the last Chevy Volt was finished at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant, it became pretty clear that this particular vehicle, or something else. like that, is not the solution sought by the masses.

As a result, the extermination of the Cruze may be the last nail forged into the North American-made compact car industry.

The Lordstown plant closed its doors after more than 50 years of continuous production, 16 million vehicles, and nearly two million Cruze cars. This will be followed this year by the closure of four other GM plants in North America, including in Oshawa.

Lordstown’s move eliminated 1,500 jobs, although GM noted that more than 400 of its employees had received offers at other GM locations where they might work on other, larger GM products that seem insufficient for people today, such as crossover SUVs.

Amid all the cuts, union United Auto Workers has filed a lawsuit against GM, accusing the company of violating a labor agreement that says it will not close any factories. In response, GM claimed not to shut them down, instead of rendering them “unallocated” for 2019.

2022 Chevy Cruze News

The Chevy Cruze is nothing more, the victim of a massive restructuring GM announced last November when Detroit-based automaker announced where it would allocate its resources to advanced trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and autonomous and electric vehicles.

Auto sales slumped as consumers flocked to high-riding alternatives. Even if Chevrolet no longer produces the Cruze, you can still buy it, and you can also get huge discounts, according to the GM Authority.

If you visited your local Chevy dealer between now and September 3 and received the delivery before then, you have a good chance of saving up to $ 3,000 on a new Cruze. Currently, there are two attractive offers for compact deals. If you finance through GM Financial, one is that Chevy puts $ 2,250 cash in the hood with a potential other $ 750.

That’s a $ 3,000 discount on a new car. When funding through GM finances, another deal includes 60 months of zero percent financing plus a $ 500 discount.

Both deals are valid for the 2019 Cruze LS, LT, Premier, and Diesel sedan and hatch offerings. Cruze L is not included in one of the incentives. Starting prices for the sedan trim are: LS, $ 19,995; LT, $ 22,595; Premier, $ 24,395; and Diesel, $ 26,495.

The Cruze hatchback does get a small premium over the sedan, starting at: LS, $ 20,495; LT, $ 22,995; Premier, $ 24,895; and Diesel, $ 26,995. Prices do not include destination costs.

Obviously, these deals are subject to change, and not all customers qualify. If you’re eyeing a new, compact offering, then the discounted 2019 Chevy Cruze could just be a turnoff. It feels like the automaker is doing everything it can to clear the Cruze inventory of dealerships as General Motors pushes full power forward with a focus on high-riding vehicles, alternative power sources, and autonomous vehicles.

2022 Chevy Cruze Expectations

We hope that the next second-generation Chevrolet Cruze will hit the market for the 2022-2023 model year. Until then, we hope that the current second-generation Cruze will receive minor changes, updates, and improvements.

Based on the new GM VSS-F platform (vehicle set), providing a completely new foundation and technique

  • All-new exterior, available in four-door sedan and hatchback body models
  • All-new interior
  • A potential high-performance model to take on the Ford Fiesta ST.
  • The inclusion of the next-generation MyLink infotainment system.
  • The introduction of more GM Active Safety features and technologies.
  • The introduction of the new powertrain range.

We hope the next-generation Chevy Cruze drives the GM VSS-F set of vehicles shared with GM front-drive cars and crossovers. The GM VSS, or Vehicle Strategy Set, represents a new way for GM to develop and build vehicles.
